Hey everyone! Our goal at SL Barrel Horses is helping you chase your dreams. I just had one of the most amazing barrel 
racing weekends in a really long time. August 2nd and 3rd was the ACBRA finals in Salinas, California. This was the 3rd for me and Rocket running at finals and it was the best finals weekend we have had as a team. Not only was the ground fast, but we had our own personal bests in that arena.
As I sit here and reflect on what a great weekend it was and think about our last 2 races of the NBHA season, I am looking forward to bring up my 4 year during the 2014-2015 race season. My old man (who is 22) is getting close to retirement, I am putting together a plan for my young horses. Dori is the first one to come up in prospect string. In the coming months, I will being taking you on the journey of riding, training and hauling a young horse.
First things first, I want to use my journey to inspire you to chase your dreams and reach your goals with your horses. I will share with you the up and downs, the twists and turns and the successes and failures involved in horse training. This is not going to be an easy road, but it will all be worth it as we watch our horses progress and come into their own.
